Hey, so I submitted an idea to this competition with a $100,000 prize. Check it and maybe even like it for me.
Master craftsmen, successful social entrepreneurs, and game changing philanthropists are everywhere but little known. We can shine light on those individuals and inspire others by creating short 10 minute high quality video interviews that give a peek into what they do and what inspired them to do it.
As an online video blog and nonprofit, the project could partner with local high schools or after-school programs in the areas where the individuals work to involve students in the process of producing video interviews and publishing them online. The students could become inspired to stay in school and pursue a creative career from the process or from meeting the interviewees.
I’d watch that. I’d even love to see behind the scenes footage of the students working on the videos.
As a nonprofit, this project could continue to be grant funded well into the future.
